The need
Children in the villages of Upper Dolpo grow up days from the nearest school. To reach one, they walk with Lama Tenzin for 20 to 30 days, ten hours a day, over passes near 18,000 feet.
What PFC does
PFC has sponsored Lama Tenzin's work since 2001. We raise funds and volunteers in the United States, connect the institute with funders, and arranged the resources for the documentary Walking the Waking Journey. PFC is also a founding partner of G.I.F.T., the Girls' Institute For Technology.
